HI We are walking rhe camino in late august and not sure which boots to take, Ive got some new keen targees but they feel like trainers compared to my older meindl s, although the lighter weight of the former is appealing, any ideas? we re only doing the first 10 days as time is short. Liz

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi! I'm walking in Keen Targhees right now (Portomarin to Pals del Rei today) and am really satisfied with them. They are water-tight but in heavy rain which we had here during a couple of days you will need gaiters so the water does not rain in to your boots. Takes a long time to get them dry again.

But in August may not be raining as much. Maybe lighter boots/shoes.

Some days last week we have had about 30*C here and Targhees feel fine even then. During hot days I usually take off my boots a couple of times during the breaks and let my feet, socks and boots air out in the sun.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
