IMO it is not wise to be actually drinking beer while actually walking/hiking a camino alone. This goes for hiking in the Alps, or any strenuous activity. It would be optimal to rehydrate at the end of your walk, before consuming alcohol. ...better leave the alcohol until your done walking...especially if your alone!
Alcohol is a diuretic which causes dehydration and impacts your electrolyte balance and judgement. It can cause hypothermia, especially in coldweather. CDC recommends no more than 1 drink per day!
I have nothing against indulging oneself in culture and food, and alcohol in moderation.
