I'm off in a week to spend a week walking the Pilgrim's Way from Winchester towards Canterbury. I've had a black large toenail from an injury a few moths ago. The nail has just cracked and about half will fall off. I'll have a go at taping it with micropore or using one of those gel bandages that fits over the toe. But I wondered if anyone has any wisdom?

cheers,

Andy

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Yes, just go.

If you have a problem, then the route you are walking is not in any sense remote, and you can take transport home.

I'd wager a bet that the nail will fall off before you leave.....

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I lost all ten of them one time (2009).

Don't worry. Just leave it alone.

Go!

Thanks everyone - and those who pm'd. It's not as bad as I feared. I cut all the dead nail off this morning to stop it ripping. Underneath some of it is a very soft nail, with skin rather than raw flesh under the rest. It's got a week to toughen up and I'll experiment with padding.

I'm bloody minded enough to go come what may.
