Camino Frances via Lourdes Sept/Oct/Nov 2022
I cannot wait. After three years I will be returning to the Camino. The wonderful thing is, my wife will be with me. Shopping for tickets now. Will be sending an email to Orisson to reserve a couple of beds. Then on to Santiago. I am looking forward to the best forty days of my life.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

You'll love it. It is the best experience. I walked from St. Jean to Sahagun last year and hope to complete it later this year. I intend to walk the path again in one go when I retire.

I would say to any pilgrim stop at Orisson for the night, I walked the Camino 2016 and thought I was fit the walk up to orisson is all up hill and I couldn't walk any more that day,

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Congratulations!!
But be sure your wife goes because she likes it and not because you insisted ,( otherwise you might have to suffer her difficult moments and fell gilty ).
Anyway it could be a wonderful experience to be side to side with the people you love , also is important to be in similar shape , if she goes to faster or the contrary it want be so enjoyable .
Buen Camino

As someone who has done a lot of walking with my husband: Remember to be kind to each other!

Some days one person is strong, sometimes the other - and it's OK to share each others' burdens.

My husband can run rings around me when the terrain is hilly, and can walk much further without a break than I can, but I need much shorter breaks and can carry more weight than he can, as long as I'm fed four times a day - while he needs only three meals. When we get to the albergue for the afternoon, he needs a shower and a rest, I'm often still bursting with energy and will, after my shower, offer to take care of his laundry while he takes a short nap - and then he's ready to explore the town with me.

It's all fine, you don't have to do everything together, and there's no such thing as "fair", as long as you are both enjoying yourselves.

When irritation builds up, it's time to get a real hotel room and sleep in the same bed, which will feel like the utmost luxury, even in the most basic hotel.

Have a great walk together!
