Is the road D428 wide enough for a taxi from St Jean to Pic D'Orrison

I'm not sure exactly where Pic D'Orisson is, but Express Bourricot's shuttle is able to transport all the way to Croix Thibault, as shown here.

Seeing that it's before Vierge Orisson which is accessible by car, then I'd say that a taxi could definitely go there.

Is VIerge Orisson the same place as Orisson? It amazes me how you and other addicts know all this stuff. It just confirms to me that I am completely oblivious when I am on Camino. I have trouble remembering the name of a town or albergue I stayed in the night before. Maybe this is why I stay in alot of municipals. I know that many of them have names but you can get away with just saying the municipal.

No. it's about an hour's walk past Orisson where the statue of the Virgin of Orisson is.



I'm only familiar with it because it's where Express Bourricot picked us up, then dropped us off the next day when I was walking with a group of newbies this year.

No, not really. I just gave a small group of new pilgrims a "push start" on their Camino this year. After Pamplona I took the bus to Bayonne to walk the Norte.

Yes of course it’s asphalt and you see vehicles on it

Yes, it is.

It's a "D" road. That means departmental. So, as a minimum, will take a lorry. Though it might be one lorry width with places to pass oncoming traffic. Most D roads are one lane each way but could be two each way or one plus two.
