Hi, would anyone know of any bus line or train that can take me from Bilbao to SJPDP in September? Thanks.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Hi, it'll probably be easiest to take a bus from Bilbao-Bayona (company PESA), and then the train to SJPP from there:

http://www.pesa.net/pesa/horarios/ctrl_horarios.php?accion=testPDF&id=11&fechasRango=0

(there are usually about 4 trains per day from Bayonne-SJPP, you can check times on the sncf website…)

p.s. note that while you can buy tickets for these trips at the station on the day of travel, you'll probably only be able to book online a couple of months in advance, so you might need to wait until June/July before booking anything!

There aren't direct trains from Bilbao to SJPDP and there aren't either direct buses. The best option would probably be that quoted by Jan_D (i.e.: bus to Bayonne and train from there).

The problem is logistics. The Pesa bus schedule from Bilbao is limited to 2 buses each day, so you will find yourself looking for a room for one night in Bilbao or Bayonne.

Since your avatar suggests you're cycling, here's another option:

You would take the Euskotren from Bilbao (Casco Viejo) to San Sebastian, and then “el Topo” on to Hendaye.

Taking the early train from Bilbao, you could do it all in one day - OR, San Sebastian is well worth an overnight stop if you can afford the time.
At the east end of the beach-front bike path is one of my favorite sculptures anywhere, Comb of the Wind by Eduardo Chillida.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

That is great information Jan. Thank you kindly!

Than you Biarritzdon! I was considering staying overnight anyways to deal with the 9 hrs of difference jet lag. Unfortunately they do not post their schedule yet. Cheers!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
There is an ALSA bus from Bilbao to SJPdP from June 20 to September 5:

Bilbao Saint Jean De Pied De Port 11:20 15:45 4h 25min 36.19€ 20/06/2015 05/09/2015 supra+ LMXJVSD

There is the option of taking the bus (La Union) from Bilbao to Pamplona, be picked up by Istvan and Barbara and taken to Corazon Puro for the night. In the morning they will drive you to SJPP. It worked well for me last October.

Check their website at http://www.corazonpuro.es/Enghome.html.
Great tip C clearly, I will spend my first night there. Thanks
