Hi Carey!
You are going to have an absolutely wonderful time! I am also a 52 year old woman, starting my 2nd Camino late April or the beginning of May.
Are you all set? footwear broken in? Mochila chosen and tested? Gear all prepared and packed and re-packed? Hopes and dreams and anxieties imagined and discarded and re-imagined? ;)
You might consider taking an extra day before you start out. Spend an extra night in SJPP and get over jetlag. SJPP is a great little town and I was too excited to get started to stop and enjoy it and really see it.

I am still working on my gear, but my goal is to carry less that 15lbs including water and food. I am at 10lbs in my pack right now with out first aid or meds so I should be good. I have given myself 38 days so my plan is to take a day off a week, or shorter days to really enjoy the Camino.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Welcome Carey and Buen Camino!

Hi Andrea, I am wondering if Orisson is a good idea too so I don't start off too hard on my first day. Maybe I will see you on the road!

Hi Andrea, I think I am going to follow your idea and do the same. I want to start off as easily as I can so as not to injure myself the first few days....plus my schedule allows me the luxury of time :)

Andrea how did you do your reservation e-mail, or call? if you called what is the number to call from USA? all those numbers have me confuse.
