Hi pilgrims. I recently finished my Camino in Santiago de Compostela. I met and lost three Canadian pilgrims and I'd very much like to find them. Their names were Miles, Kevin and Doug. Does anyone know them?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Did you ask them what part of Canada? The Canadians have some very strong Camino groups in some of their cities.

Do you have any photo of them or info where they were on specific dates?

I am not sure if they are your three Canadians but I found three back in 2013, if you can't find yours you can have mine....I will see them after all these years in Nov. when we walk the Camino again.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I found 2 in 2013 and we are going to walk again in April. I wonder if my 2 is 2/3 of your 3. :).

Good point Keith - they were from Winnipeg.
If you google it you may find a club, I get invites from a group in Victoria what is interesting is they keep track of who is leaving & the folks who have walked maybe if you find a group in Winnipeg they are as organized.

Hi SYates, I don't suppose you have a link for Camino group(s) around Houston, TX?

Great to see you on the Forum, Dan! Welcome! A friend of ours here in Sydney hails from Winnipeg - her large family are well-known in the area - they've been there for many generations - so I'll get in touch with her and see if she can help find your Canadian mates.
BTW - some trivia - Winnipeg has the distinction of being home to the coldest and windiest intersection in North America - Portage Avenue and Main Street. If you arrange a reunion with your mates at some stage, don't arrange to meet there! ;)
I hope that you arrived home safe and well -
Cheers -
Jenny

Might be you've already tried this, but it's shocking how often this actually works. In Facebook, put in their first name and 'Winnipeg'. You'd be surprised, you might have friends in common already from the Camino and it'll find their profile no problem :D

Hi Dan,
So happy you were able to track us down! My email address is dproch @mymts.net. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hats off to Wendy Loly too. She is President of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims.

Behind the scene I had sent Wendy an email asking if she might be able to assist. She searched through her entire database of names looking for three pilgrims from Winnipeg that walked in June/July and located Kevin too.

Congrats to all involved. Nice to see everybody reunited.
