Pau to Obanos in October

Hi Peregrinos,
I am planning to do the CF again (have become an addict) but starting from Pau and going over at Somport before joining the CF proper at Obanos. If any of you have done this in the first half of October it would helpful for any advice in particular re accommodation at that time of year and as part of it is in France whether albergues etc are open at weekends. Many thanks.

Everything was open (given that everything is not as frequent as on the Camino Frances). You may have to call to get the key to a few gites/albergues.

I did this route in late September last year. No problem with gites/albergues being open, and did not need to call ahead. If I remember correctly, the monastery in Sarrance opened at 3 pm and the gite in Urdos opened at 4 pm.
