I did a search on this and only came up with buses to SJPP.

Is there bus service from Pamplona to Roncesvalles?

Is there bus service from Madrid airport to Roncesvalles?

Last July (2016) we took the train from Madrid to Pamplona and then the bus to Roncesvalles. Unfortunately, due to the vagaries of schedules, although we took the first train from Madrid, the first bus from Pamplona didn't leave until 6 pm. When we got to Roncesvalles and checked into the albergue we had to run to catch the last sitting for supper and then the laundry room was closed for the night when we got back. Next time I would try and arrange transportation differently.

Autocares is the bus service to Roncevalles. I have seen Alsa/Condes schedules with a stop at Roncevalles but I believe they only pick up passengers not drop them off because Autocares has the license for that.

I used the alsa.es site and could not find a Pamplona-Roncevalles match but I was able to get a Saint Jean Pied de Port-Roncevalles match.

I caught the Alsa bus from Pamplona to SJPdP in April and it made a stop at Roncesvalles.

I also caught bus from Barajas to Pamplona. 5 hour trip. I didn't get the direct bus and had to make one change with very little time. My word of advice is there was only that one opportunity for a loo break and even then we had to beg the driver of the second bus to give us time to find the loo. That was when I learned the word 'rapido'.o_O

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I just got a note back from Caminofacil.
A taxi will take you from Pamplona to Roncesvalles for around €45.
You can split that between 4 pilgrims.

My advice whether by bus or taxi is to pack your travel sickness pills. Those seemingly never ending switchback bends challenge even the most iron constitution. Alternatively, get there so tired and jet lagged that you sleep through the lot. ;););)

Hahaha! Yeah, it's a bit like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
Just pretend you're at Disneyland! :p

I always spend at least one night in Pamplona to recover from my jet lag before taking that ride.
