Camino Frances (2018)
Hi, we are planning on walking/cycling the Camino Frances in August (2108) and would appreciate any advice regarding the cycling part of our journey. Also, do you think we will require sleeping bags in August? Thanks

Instead of a sleeping bag you could just use just a liner. A good quality silk liner is super lightweight and breathable. Maybe around 20 euros. Good luck

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
A fan would be more useful in August than a sleeping bag! You need something to keep you from sleeping on the mattress, but a light sleep sack is sufficient.

Thanks. That is very helpful advice as I really didn't want to carry a sleeping bag even if it was a lightweight one.

Its what I use in the Summer, even a lightweight sleeping bag is too hot. But the liner gives you that nice comfort of fresh sheet feeling. That and a mossie net and I fall asleep every night looking up at the stars.
