Hi, we are planning on walking/cycling the Camino Frances in August (2108) and would appreciate any advice regarding the cycling part of our journey. Also, do you think we will require sleeping bags in August? Thanks

A fan would be more useful in August than a sleeping bag! You need something to keep you from sleeping on the mattress, but a light sleep sack is sufficient.do you think we will require sleeping bags in August?

Thanks. That is very helpful advice as I really didn't want to carry a sleeping bag even if it was a lightweight one.Instead of a sleeping bag you could just use just a liner. A good quality silk liner is super lightweight and breathable. Maybe around 20 euros. Good luck
Its what I use in the Summer, even a lightweight sleeping bag is too hot. But the liner gives you that nice comfort of fresh sheet feeling. That and a mossie net and I fall asleep every night looking up at the stars.Thanks. That is very helpful advice as I really didn't want to carry a sleeping bag even if it was a lightweight one.
Hey, Peter, you are so understated!!!Hi , would change 2108 in 2018 .
Wish you both a wonderfull time and a Buen Camino ,Peter .
haha, haha, haha!!Thanks, I got carried away by the excitement. Yes I do intend to go in 2018.
dogstar, forgive me for laughing! Sometimes the smallest things are just so funny! Cyclists will surely reply, and you already have opinions on liners rather than sleeping bags. Have a great time, and a blessed Camino.haha, haha, haha!!
