Thank you very much.Santa Catalina de Somoza, after leaving Astorga.
Thank you kinkyoneIt's the view from the entrance (on Camino Frances) to Sta.Catalina de Somoza. Short walk from Astorga.
Nope, definitely not the one. Compare photos in posts no.1 & 4 with yours, especially the bell tower. Also I don't remember any pedestrian street crossing in Sta.Catalina on the main drag where the church is situatedMy picture is of the front, but it could be Las Angustias in Cacabelos.View attachment 76508
Santa Cat AL ina, RickI also identified it as Santa Caterina but you don't need to know that now. However I thought that you might like to know that Santa Caterina appears for a few seconds in the film The Way.
The Way is online on YouTube. It used to be available in English. The Spanish version has the YouTube id of QD3FtB9rNeo and Santa Catalina de Somoza is shown for a few seconds at about 1:43:45 in. They are filmed walking in the wrong direction.Thank you ,I must get that film.
Brain fart, Kinky.Santa Cat AL ina, Rick
Well, Rick, should I ask Peg who's Caterina then???Brain fart, Kinky.
I knew the name (my first car was a Catalina) but my fingers knew another name and my brain was too busy farting to notice the error. It has been happening a lot more lately when I write (or is that right? I'm so confused. )
Rick - just remember not to follow through!!!Brain fart, Kinky.
