not sure if this post will be allowed. If not, no worries! Came across this news article about a Greek student that made it back to Greece via bike during COVID-19. He discovered things that I read about on this forum and how the Camino changes you. Hoping to do my first Camino in spring 2021 a resked from spring 2020.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for an interesting read. Good luck for potential 2021 camino. As much information as your brain can absorb is available on the forum and if you don’t find what you are looking for don’t be afraid to ask. I recommend the Efren Gonzalez videos among others on you tube as a good view of daily Walking life Buen Camino !!

And, since videos have been mentioned, @David Tallan recently posted a lengthy curated list on this thread: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/a-collection-of-camino-videos.68039/
Thank you for the list. Wow! I better start watching now! I noticed Dales Outdoor Adventures is listed. I have watched all his and felt they are valuable. Watched a handful of others off and on too. Love the dynamic videos bring, at least to me, and helps me put it all together. Again, thank you for the link to the list!

Thank you. I have watched bits n pieces of Efren Gonzalez videos. At your suggestion, I will take a further look. Having the forum has helped me a lot in preparation. Now with the postponement to 2021 i have the opportunity to look at more opinions. As most say, too much planning can have a downside, so I am trying not to go overboard. Just let it happen ... day by day, step by step. Can‘t wait to be saying ‘Buen Camino’ as I’m trekking along!

Preparing a little never hurts. But also balancing this along with day by day just let it happens also works!
As a first timer a couple years ago and a person who has some physical limitations and specific medical needs I watched some videos, asked questions just to get a sense of what the terrain is like and also a sense of how some other walkers felt about the journey then this helped me fine tune my gear and my approach to the camino.

We each have to make our own way (your onw camino) and only you can decide what your goals, wants and needs are and will be. I wish you wonderful luck! A delay in your start I see as a positive...more time to decide, more time to plan your route and test your gear before the actual event....just try not to overthink and keep it all in perspective. You will have the very best of support here on this forum, lovely people here and you will never truly be alone on the way ... we all walk with you 🙂 after all we are very curious camino addicts 😁

This was a very good list from David and it is great Ric pointed this out to you. They all definitely have merit even if many really do kind of have the same format. But there is beauty and the excitement of anticipating your first Camino. If I may recommend one other video that I personally really like that is not on the list that I have mentioned before. It is called "Looking For Infinity". It is not perfect of course. What I like about it is the personal and sometimes in depth interviews with people. This documentary has beautiful landscapes as do so many others. What sets it apart from some others is the examination of the spirit and spirituality of the people who walk.

Thank you I have added it to my notes to view. Always value and appreciate sharing by others , so this video will be right up my alley!

Would love if you could drop a note about your thoughts if you get a chance to read it. Even if you are not crazy about it I would still be interested. Can always learn from a fresh set of eyes/experience that are not our own.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

My only advice is don't over-prepare. Leave some room for serendipity.
