Finally, tonight I will board the plane to Lisbon and my 3 months Camino adventure will begin.

Spending some time in Lisbon with friends, side trip to Sintra and will be in Porto on July 6, starting to walk on the 7th as far as I get. Will begin on the Costa, but most likely switch over to the traditional route.

July 14 I need to be in Zamora where I will be Hospitalera from Augst 15-31. So please do come and stay there and let me know you are from this forum.

Post Zamora... it's written in the stars... I have some options: 1. go back to the CP where I stopped; 2. walk out of Zamora either northwest or to Astorga; 3. take transportation to the Norte and walk into Miraz where I am again Hospitalera starting August 12 to 27. Here, you will get a nice cuppa.

After Miraz, I will be walking into Santiago and then walk to Fisterra/Muxia. Also walk the C. Inglese, and visit with some Galician friends.

Homeward bound, September 28 with a few days prior spend in Madrid.

If in all your travels, we cross paths, please say Hello. I am the one either happily walking along or huffing and puffing. I am known to sit by the side of the road performing a tea ritual, you are welcome to hunker down and partake in a sip of tea.

Not writing a blog, but will occasionally do some updates on facebook. You can find me under Ingrid Folkers should you want to read along. I will check in here once in a while, should I have some relevant information to post re route etc.

So for now, I wish you all a very pleasant Summer (or Winter). Buen Camino to you all! <3 Ingrid

Buen Camino. If you haven't been there, the Zamora albergue is wonderful.

Buen Camino Ingrid, you are going to have a wonderful time!

Hi Ingrid -
Best, best wishes for a wonderful Camino. I'll be thinking of you and sending you wishes for the best of times for your hospitaleroships both at Zamora and Miraz.
If, in the unlikely event you find yourself in Pamplona early September - 3-5 Sept to be exact - Saint Mike II, David and I will be there. It would be wonderful to see you! You'd be more than welcome to share my hotel room with me so there'd be no need to book anything. PM me if you alter your plans and find yourself in the Pamplona area then.
Take joy in every moment and in every step -
Jenny xxx

Buen Camino. If you haven't been there, the Zamora albergue is wonderful.
I've been there stayed two days due to a foot problem. Make sure to go and sit by the city hall and listen to the tower clock..fascinating.
