    Starting in early May

    Be warm if you're early-ish May, and take the recommended rain-gear. You'll get warm walking, so don't over do it. And listen to the locals when they say not to go the Napoleon Route. Have a wonderful trip, and Buen camino!

    You really don't have to plan ahead, because you'll be walking at a busy time and it just gets busier as you go. Everyone is friendly and there are always people looking to walk and talk and chat every evening. Have a great camino!

    Skype?

    Yes, re-think the ipad. Its light and it's great for photos. It will be easy for skype also. As you've already been advised, you can skype along the camino using internet cafes and some hostals, but you don't always get a lot of privacy. Buen camino! You're in for a treat.

    Fantastic that you're are finally answering the call. We go when its time and never before. It took 13 years after my call that I finally walked. Its almost as if we have to be prepared by life in some way. So have a wonderful experience, and buen camino!
