2-Stamps-Rule

RIP 2016
Time of past OR future Camino
3 times Camino Francés
We had this topic in previous times:

In the German Forum one pilgrim posted that for pilgrims starting at Sarría it is compulsatory to collect 2 stamps per day to qualify for the Compostela.
Why does the pilgrims office not publish on its home page?
Frustrating!
Buen Camino anyway.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The Pilgrims' Office issues the Credencial on which it clearly states that pilgrims are requested to collect two sellos each day.

However all of the caveats in my previous post apply - everyone will be treated on their own merits.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Which brings up the question whether other authorized credentials have the same language! I will check mine from the American Friends to see, and get back here. Are there some Canadian, French, and Australian credentials out there that can be checked?

I checked three of my credentials. The only one that states two stamps is the South African one from 2010. The other two are 2009. All show the 200km for bikers.

South Africa Credential: "Complete at least the last 100km to qualify. Two Stamps per day are required. Pilgrims who start their journey outside Galicia require one stanp per day."
Spanish Credential: ""Complete at least the last 100km to qualify". No mention of sellos.
American Credential: "Complete at least the last 100 km to qualify." No mention of stamps.

Note that the South Africa passport indiates that only one is needed if you start before Galicia.

The Cathedral website:

In Spanish:

La tercera página, y las cinco siguientes, van destinadas a colocar los sellos (es obligatorio un mínimo de dos sellos diarios con su respectiva fecha) con la certificación de paso en albergues, parroquias, cofradías, etc.

In English:

In the following pages the pilgrim will find a place where to put on the stamps of the refuges, parishes, confraternities, etc. On the other side there is a series of maps with the different Ways to St. James.
So the translators have not updated the English translation, but the instructions in Spanish are clear -- two each day.

Johnny Walker knows how it works in practice, so listen to him!!!
