Before I get caught up in our (quiet and understated) New Year celebrations, I've taken a moment to reflect upon my year and my Camino... wonderful memories of an extraordinary walk... and my Camino continues still...

I'd also like to acknowledge all the help, wisdom and support on this Forum that assisted me along the Way. A warm and heartfelt Thank you All!

Happy New Year and Buen Caminos wherever your roads lead! :)

A New Year toast to you all and to everything that touched us along our Ways - new friendships made, old friendships renewed and those friends gone but still remembered...

A TOAST

Amid the toasts
and glasses raised
on holidays and special nights
let none of us forget
each other
that in the scheme of things
with mirrors for reflections
or with nothing
but our knowledge of ourselves
we as a people everywhere
are for the most part
good and kind.

A glass then if you please
held higher than the rest
to ourselves and what we each
inside our secret head aspire to be.

The year ahead is what you make it. Resolve to make it good.

Ah, New Year approaches - New Zealanders the first? Hi @Kiwi-family !

Thank you @Wokabaut_Meri for the poem. I hope everyone on the forum has a wonderful experience this year - and that we all can celebrate our shared Camino joys.
