Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
It’s done.....even though the walking won’t happen.

It’s different to my original plan, because the story changed. It started off in the light corner, fairly orderly, colours merging gently into each other.

by the time I got to this dark portion shadows were gathering over the Camino and I knew there would be no walking in Spain.
I kept crocheting....

The colours all higgeldy-piggeldy, life uncertain and changeable....and I did many many more red poppies than I had planned - lest we forget, in remembrance of all the lives lost.

I now have 1600 ends to sew in - I’m going to do a few every day that I would have been walking.

And still I hope.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Never tried crocheting. Is this a manly pursuit? I'm pretty good at being crochety! :)

To cut a long story short: I WANT ONE!

There was a time when the women spun the wool (the Spinsters) and it was the men who produced the garments. Of course, being men, they had to take things to the extreme

That's beautiful - reminds me of the PBS America Ident screen mosaic

@malingerer now is the perfect time to learn! Your motivation is exactly what made me learn a decade ago. Never too late.

What a beautiful work of art. Was your design inspired by the electron microscope photos of the corona (crown) virus? Doesn't matter- It's obvious you put heart and soul into this project.
At the risk of being ridiculed by all crocheters - can you do this with polyester, or nylon fibers? I'm thinking a very light weight one of these would be fantastic on the camino.

Indeed this very blanket is made with acrylic yarn (even though I typically prefer natural products)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Rachel, thanks for the fast response. So how much does this blanket weigh? I'm assuming one could roll it up pretty tight for backpacking.
We were just in New Zealand about this time last year. Cruise from Brisbane to San Francisco via New Zealand, Tahiti, etc (41 glorious nights) with 3 stops in NZ. Loved Auckland.

It reminds me of quilting with a secret message. Thank you for the inspiration.

Yes men crochet and knit. All my men can. Father and sons. If they do it’s a different story.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
