2024 vs 2023 guides

I am anxious to start planning and do better with a guidebook to start. Are the 2023 guides still basically ok to use, or shall I wait for the 2024 guides to be released? (I did pre-order John Brierly's book from this site, but I am too impatient. I will have a lot to learn about patience on the Camino I think.) Thank you!

I think that the only real changes (at least on the Francés) are accommodations, and you can use Gronze or updated Camino apps for those.

Prices in many guide books may be obsolete before the book is even printed because the information was gathered many months, if not longer, beforehand. I remember that from my younger days with “Frommer’s Europe on $5/$10 a Day” series. But, even so, they still let you know what will likely fit your budget.
