on a new book Protocolo litúrgico de la Catedral de Santiago notes that the pilgrim mass was initiated in 1976. It describes this as being now the most important 'ordinary' (i.e. excluding those for special days like St James Day) service in the cathedral.
Anyone know when the compostela was introduced - it must have been about the same time?
