40 day marker till My Camino and queastion re the train trad

Hi all, my 40 day marker for My Camino has been hit, and equal emotions of excitement and apprehension are filling me, I think I'm prepared and looking forward to it, roll on sept. 9th till I place my first foot on my starting point of SJPDP till Santiago ( and maybe Finestrre) to be decided!
My question is for those in the know that do we come close to the crash site during our final walk into Santiago, I would like to pay my respects if I could before the final outpouring of emotion that I'm sure is going to drain me on reaching Santiago.
Thanks
Bob

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
you can pay your respect if you are coming into santiago on the via de la plata. or you can walk out in the reverse route on the via de la plata to the accident site to pay your respect.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
A lot of aerial pictures can be compared on Google Earth to determine where the accident occurred with relation to Santiago.

No, you don't pass near the accident site.

When you consider the matter, its fortunate the accident did occur as close to Santiago as it did. Can you imagine how the response would have been complicated had it occurred a 100 km or more from a major center?

That being said, its an accident. They happen every day. Its got nothing to do with the Camino except that it happened coincidentally to occur near Santiago just before the holy day.

What would be the reaction amongst us pilgrims if the accident occured near, say, Alicante?
