Hi, I am using Santiago Ways for some bookings for June and luggage transfer, but because we only got the SW accommodation bookings today, I had made some of my own, particular places we had been recommended as close to town in case some of theirs were further out, which they appear to be. Given choices between the following, do you have any advice? (we need two single beds, private bathroom where possible, air conditioning where possible, and want to be centrally located). These are not dorms because we don’t want to be woken up at 5 AM by early risers and kept awake by snoring!
Which is better?
Sarria: Praza Camelias or Mar de Plata?
Portomarín: Casa San Nicolas or Hotel Pazo de Berbetoros?
Palas de Rey: Pension San Marcos or Pension Palas?
Melide: A Lua do Camiño or Hotel Carlos 96?
I ask because they have issued luggage transfer vouchers which they may say are a pain to be changed, and have given us walking directions, and I’m not sure they will re-issue the walking directions to my chosen accommodations. Thanks!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I've stayed at Casa San Nicolas in Portomarin and I thought it was great. Better than the one other place I have stayed in town, and I will repeat at San Nicolas if I'm ever in Portomarin again. Highly recommend.

I'm not a fan of Pension Palas because on my 2nd visit my room had an overwhelming smell of bug repellant. I couldn't take it. I ended up going somewhere else, but don't remember the name.

Can't help you with the rest.

Walking in June for the last 100 kms from Sarria, you go with the flow and the big crowds. So hopefully for you there will not be a bedrace .

We stayed at Carlos 96 in Melide. Though the immediate neighborhood isn't charming, we had a very nice night there and good meals. A plus: they had a foot massage machine and washer/dryer!
