Has anyone stayed in Alburgue Convento de Foncebadon? I have only read poor reviews but it seems that is the only accommodation in Foncebadon with private rooms.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Hi! I've never stayed there but it looks OK from the outside. It's a bit of a one horse town, so there won't be many other options. Maybe try to reschedule to stay in Rabanal, which is very pilgrim-friendly and has the vespers service with Gregorian chant in the evening. Foncebadon is a nice coffee stop in the morning on the way up to the Cruz de Ferro and down to Acebo or Molinaseca. Buen Camino!

It is my favorite albergue in Foncebadon, the rooms particularly. The basement albergue may not appeal to everyone, but the rooms, dining room, and bar are great.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I have considered Rabanal, but was trying to avoid a 30/32km day the following day to get to Ponferrada. Trying to keep my days around 25/28km. Thanks for your help

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
As said above the menu and the restaurant are great. The basement albergue with 2 rooms each 10 beds and hot water in the shower is just like any ordinary albergue for €7. The menu was superb!

For me it was like heaven April 18, 2012. It was cold and it started snowing ALOT with hard wind right after Rabanal. The highway closed and the only way to get down the mountain was by foot. Reaching Foncebadon made my day.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.
