I reserved Orrison for the wrong date. Will they refund or do I have to make another date and just lose that $

I got online on Tuesday and prebooked and the next day they sent me the invoice which I then paid. I understand the albuergue is closed now but the admin must still be administering the website.

Refuge Orisson is closed for their holidays, and because, as the Napoleon Pass is officially closed until 1 April, there is no point in being open. It has been my experience that they WILL eventually reply to your e-mail.

During this off-season time, they do needed renovation, maintenance, deep cleaning and whatever to get ready for the coming season. So, just be patient. It could take several weeks to get a reply.

If you already wrote to them, and if you do not obtain a reply by New Years Day, send another e-mail in early January, with the first one attached. Sometimes, this helps unclog the inbox...

You could try an e-mail, saying something like:

“Je regrette dire que j’ai fait un erreur avec ma reservation. Je voudrais la changer du XX de MONTH au XX de MONTH” and see what happens.

(I am sorry to say that I made a mistake with my reservation. I would like to change it from X to Y)

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I got a reply back from Roncesvalles telling me they are rescheduling my reservation BUT I havent heard back from Orrison.

Relax.....and just ease back. It's only been a few days. As already mentioned above, Orisson is the essence of chill and patience. Give them some time. They will be really busy as they have just started dealing with reservations for 2020.
 
I did the same thing. I made a new reservation for the correct day and then sent them a message to cancel the wrong day (I had not paid yet). I did get a reply, but it took a couple weeks. I am now reserved and paid deposit for the correct day. Based on the response I got, I think they would have changed the day if I had paid for the first (incorrect) day.

Thanks for the info. I have already paid for “the wrong date (my mistake), but will wait to hear if they will make the change. If not, I’ll ask on the forum if someone wants to purchase that particular date from me before I resubmit and pay again for the correct date.
