I am arriving late (22h) in Irun before starting the camino the following day. Does anyone know if it's ok with the albergue to arrive at this hour? Will it be open?

kind regards, Bella

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

(translated by google with a little help from me):
The Pilgrims of Irun Hostel opens its doors this year 2015 on April 1, every day until 30 September. We remind you that the hostel is located at No. 18 Berroa Lucas -1º (Anzaran neighborhood, next to the roundabout) and is always attended by a hospitalero to greet pilgrims on their arrival. Open from 16.00 to 22.00 hours.
Hospitalero phone: 640 361 640.
So it might be a good idea to contact them in advance
cheers, tom

Hi Bella,

Tom's suggestion is good - contact them to see if you would actually be able to get in after 10pm.

If you decide to find other options, there were several pensions very near the train station that would likely do the trick as well. I stayed in Pension Bowling knowing I was arriving late. A few other places looked nicer but were booked. It was nothing special, but it was a reasonably priced private room.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I’m travelling to Irún today to start my Camino tomorrow morning - I’m flying to Biarritz getting in at 4pm, planning on catching the bus to Hendaye and walking to the pilgrims hostel from there...
Hello everyone, I will have to work digitally about every other day from Irun to SdC (bringing an iPad). What are the wifi connections like along the entire route? What about the Primitivo? Thanks.
