Albergue recommendations?.. :)

Hi, looking to discover if possible peoples favourite and/or not to miss albergues between Astorga and Santiago?..Have found a thread on the same subject but was from 2011 so would love to get an up to date one?..
Am heading off on 5th May and can.not.WAIT!

We just may meet up as I will start a day or two behind you. For me, I will seek the unique experience, if that is possible. Actually, I am open to sleeping in a barn or two, if available.

Hi thanks for that, yes I found that one and have it DL'd too, I just thought it would be interesting to get a few peoples opinions, and maybe titbits about different albergues and municipals. After the Portuguese last year it was nice to swap recommendations and info with people, so thought I'd try and canvas a bit about this part of the French way

Great! I'll look out for you! I have only done one camino before this but staying in so many lovely places of variable standard/interest etc was one of the best parts of it

Now thats a hard one. Stopped in an albergue in Murias in 2013. It was great. Good food good company what more could I ask for. Stopped there a couple of years later. New hospitaleras who were vegetarian and I am a committed carnivore so did not enjoy it as much. A couple of places I stayed were different because the hospitaleros where different, some for the better, some for the worse
