Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
We just may meet up as I will start a day or two behind you. For me, I will seek the unique experience, if that is possible. Actually, I am open to sleeping in a barn or two, if available.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Check the resources section of the forum. There's a pdf document of favorite albergues. I downloaded it and will have it handy when I'm back on the Camino.
Hi thanks for that, yes I found that one and have it DL'd too, I just thought it would be interesting to get a few peoples opinions, and maybe titbits about different albergues and municipals. After the Portuguese last year it was nice to swap recommendations and info with people, so thought I'd try and canvas a bit about this part of the French way :)

Great! I'll look out for you! ;) I have only done one camino before this but staying in so many lovely places of variable standard/interest etc was one of the best parts of it :)

Always fun and a great way to discover wonderful little places that might otherwise be missed. :)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Now thats a hard one. Stopped in an albergue in Murias in 2013. It was great. Good food good company what more could I ask for. Stopped there a couple of years later. New hospitaleras who were vegetarian and I am a committed carnivore so did not enjoy it as much. A couple of places I stayed were different because the hospitaleros where different, some for the better, some for the worse
