Hey Perregrinos, another little update after three days: Our group of seven travelled from our amazing albergue in Larrasoana to Pamplona. Walking along, the conversation and laughter was flowing. Sadly we lost one of our number in Pamplona, a hippy-like man in his sixties from Germany, he was a little eccentric and we loved him for it ;) you get really attached to people really quickly on the Camino, which we all didn't expect.....
Myself and two others went to Cizur Menor, to the most perfect basic albergue where Ambrosio the hospitalero was the complete host for us, even playing guitar in the stunning adjacent chapel for us before lights out.
The following day the other three joined us and it was onward to Puenta La Reina via the place I wanted to visit most on the Camino, Alto de Perdon. After photos and a bite to eat, I sat on my own to take it all in, feeling very emotional. If the Camino ended for me there I was happy......
The albergue (Apostolo) in Puenta La Reina was very modern, with a pool, but I don't think it was for me. Just a personal thing I suppose, just that I was enjoying the fact that my favourite luxuries were a shower and a bed.
Today's early 6am climb to Estella was incredible, nice and cool before the sun came up. Walking in 38 degree heat is a good thing!
Will keep you posted.

Wow thank you @Shawnasong , that is so nice. So hard to describe how I feel about the Camino at the moment, hope this puts a dent in it ;)

Walking in 38C heat? Must be just like home then - always warm and sunny in the Wee County :) So pleased to hear that things are turning out well for you. All the best!
