Peace everyone, my name is niel and I am from Canada. I am a third year divinity student who is a lot of fun and still can be serious. I am wanting to go to do the camino but am somewhat fearful in doing it alone since numbers adds to confidence and security. I will be in Spain, Madrid area to do volunteering June 1-6 and then June 15-20, then I am free. Was wanting to do the camino possibly around May 1st. let me know if anyone interested.

Looking forward to hearing from interested people.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Nathanael,

Doing it alone can do wonders for you, do not be afraid. You won't be alone on the road anyway. Walking the camino is both a solitary and community thing. You will find that out once you're there.

Where at? I got an MA in Pastoral Studies (Family Ministry) from Multnomah Seminary in Portland, Oregon. However, I'm not in the pastorate, nor do I intend to be - my seminary time was more a journey of self-discovery and truth-seeking.

You won't be alone - there will be hundreds of others with you. You'll be staying in albergues with many folks - sleeping in the same room, using the same bathroom, eating together at cafes (or in the albergue kitchens). Pilgrims look out for each other as well. Indeed, you'll probably be grateful for the alone times, especially if you're an introverted type...

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Nathanael...welcome! I'm sure you will not want for fellow pilgrims along the way. From the other threads you will begin to recognize the many and varied backgrounds of your fellow peregrinos.

Good to have you aboard!
Buen Camino,

Arn

Wow - another Washington-stater on the Camino (I live close to Vancouver, WA).

I hope you're not a Husky (I'm a Coug), but if you are, I'll live with it. ;-) Buen Camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
