You have chosen a be-oooooo-tiful time to walk el camino! The snows should be over - just a few white peaks in the highest places - everything will be green, green, green, the wildflowers should be spectacular with the white and black European stork back on their huge nests on top of every tower and steeple.

FYI: A lot of those storks are staying around right through the winter.
Watch out when you step outside the albergue municipal in Sahagun -- the storks are known to drop large sticks onto peoples´ heads (they drop other stuff, too, as you might imagine. )

Jo - there is no bus from St Jean. You could take a taxi or email Caroline at apcaroline@hotmail.com for a lift from St Jean to Pamplona.
