Starting this thread to support several people who are en route and beginning to post here and on various FB groups regarding trains cancelled tomorrow from Bayonne to SJPDP due to strike, so that you can find each other for ride shares. (I don’t need it, at least not unless this continues through next week!). @KennyH

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Is the strike april 5th or 6th? Getting different information,

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
6 April I think.

Edit: Having said that I see that all the services from Bayonne to St JPdP on my SNCF app appear to be cancelled tomorrow except for the 6am and the 12:35pm.

Oh, I have a ticket for April 6th. Looks like I will have to change my plans...

It’s a grève reconductible (renewable strike) which I think means that strikes have affected railway traffic since 7 March. Thursday 6 April has been announced as a special action day. None of this means that there will be no trains. You need to stay up to date and check the Sncf websites or Trainline who get their data about cancellations from Sncf in real time.

The general schedule says 6th. However there was someone on another thread here and another person on the Camigas FB group who received ticket cancellation notices for the Bayonne- SJPP train tomorrow and at least one screenshot showed all trains on that leg canceled (though Paris to Bayonne unaffected). I am sure it is a dynamic situation.

Thanks very much. I am arriving in Bayonne today and eill also be needing to share. Arrive 11.15am. Somebody mentioned tgat there could be replacement busses? Does snyone know?

Someone elsewhere, after 5 pm local time last night, posted that these times (including 12:35) have bus replacements but this should be confirmed directly w SNCF

Just a quick note to say replacement buses are running today, 5th April, from Bayonne to SJPDP.

Around 50 pilgrims on my bus at 12.35.

Replacement buses appear to be covering all the cancelled trains today.

Sorry if Im hijacking this thread but I’m looking to connect with people wanting to share a taxi/Uber/etc to sjpp from Biarritz on Mon 4/10 arriving from cdg 5:15 pm. I had to change my flight last minute and express bouricott doesn’t have any availability at that time. They recommended a taxi so hoping to share the cost.
Also open to suggestions regarding bus/train options but i have reservations at Roncessvalles already on 4/11 so need to get to sjpp on 4/10 so i can start walking on 4/11. I tried to contact Roncessvalles to try to change my reservation but have not heard anything back. I assume that they do not change reservations. Thanks…

Is there a way to check the schedules of these busses to make a reservation? Or is it first-come/first-served upon arrival?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
