It's just over a week until we leave Melbourne to start from St Jean for our Camino. We are excited beyond belief and also a little nervous. Hi, we met one of you at Wilson Botanic a few weeks ago. We have postponed our planned Camino from March to September 2017 so will be very interested in how you find the walk at this time of year.

Absolutely miserable.
But the long range forecast for SJPdP & Roncevalles on the 22nd doesn't look so nice either.
But, the weather will be what the weather will be, so we will take advice from the Pilgrims office and enjoy what we have

Started today from St Jean ( 20th Sept) via Valcarlos which was plenty steep enough for good aerobic work out ... Staying overnight .... The weather is good for walking ... Cool overcast but no rain today ... I don't know about the high route but many went that way ... From what I can see in the weather next two days ok

Never trust long range forecasts .
It looks to be quite nice in SJPdP for the next few days.
We are currently in Paris and travel to SJPdP tomorrow, and go directly to Roncesvalles on Thursday. Just a day behind you.
We may meet along the way.
