At 70, I became addicted to the Camino

Time of past OR future Camino
May 2018; September 2018; May 2019; Sept (2019)
Please bear with me; I have already written this in a few places but I think this is the first time I figure out how to introduce myself. I celebrated my 70th birthday on the camino with my granddaughter in May 2018. Loved it so much, I returned with a friend in September. Would love to go back in April-May 2019 but would really like a walking companion. I am easy-going and have travelled often with friends or near-strangers. Anyone looking for a hiking partner? My dates are somewhat flexible.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

GM Danielle, Which camino are you thinking about doing? I have done 3 so far and said that my third time in October would be my last, But, it is "calling" me back. Contemplating another and saw your request, it may be something for me to think about. Only thing, I would not be walking as far in previous caminos and also would probably be sending my bag ahead. You may PM me if you'd like, buen caminho

Please don't pre-arrange a walking partner. You will meet plenty of people along the way to walk with. It's wonderful having the freedom to walk alone or with others as you wish.

Liana, I'm trying to figure out how to Private Reply. I am not used to forums... Once I find out how to do it, I will contact you. If you are more savvy than me at that, give me a hint :)

We are all different. I like the security of being with another person. And although I have had a walking partner both of my walks, we did meet lots of people and never felt we had to be together ALL the time. We picked up new friends along the way and were never confined to just the two of us.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
@danielle aird and @Victoria grace - you can PM each other. Hover your pointer over the name of the person and a little box should appear with "start a conversation" as an option. If that does not work then click on the name and you should get to that person's profile, where you can "start a conversation". Fill in the person's forum name, the topic and away you go. Hopefully!
