There is probably no way that this post can be interpreted as anything other than promotion but at the suggestion of several pilgrims, some of which are Forum members, I would like those of you currently walking to know that a certain "sanctuary" has been found by pilgrims choosing to stay at The Little Fox House (A Casa do Raposito) just 15 klms from Muxia. It is in a tiny pueblo 9 klms from the Camino to Muxia and is unique in all Galicia. You don´t have to walk to Muxia as there are buses from Santiago or Finisterre and anyway, within reson I´ll pick you up if you can´t walk a single step more.
There is a special peace here acknowledged by all which gives you an opportunity to "come off" the Camino and meditate on all you have experienced (good food too!) before you decide where your Way will take you next...home or...? It is my private home (I am a writer and psychotherapist) not an albergue. Meals are communal and included and all is donativo. If the number of pilgrims here is 3 or less (max is 5 and I ask for minimum 2, maximum 4 nights) you might even get the chance to see something of the wonderful places on the Costa da Morte..places you´d never find on the bus! Today we went to a deserted beach but it could be a castle, a 2 thousand year old castro, or 12th century church, a museum of special interest, or an ancient lighthouse or a beautiful river walk...
On the other hand you might like to cloet yourself in the libray and just read or write.
See The Little Fox House Facebook page for photos and more information.+

Tracy - you are on my wish list for next year in May when I finish my Slow Camino.

Tracy it sounds wonderful and very enticing. How much notice do you require? Can we always take a chance and phone you to see if you have room? Do you close at any time or are you open all year around?

Hi Jenny, a couple of days is usually sufficient just so's I can get food and wine in. I like pilgrims to know that they can be flexible and that sponteneity is pretty much the name of the game! If I am "full" I can always give up my room and sleep in the library on the Freud couch (it's liike camping out!) and it won't be the first time I can tell you!
And Sil! What Fun we'll have!!!

A message has just been posted on the Facebook account of the albergue in Roncesvalles. It seems the combination of pilgrim numbers beyond their capacity and poor weather has made this a difficult...
I’m on the Camino Frances since April 4. I just finished the Meseta and it feels unpleasantly busy and has since the beginning. No time time to smell the roses or draw much. There is a sense from...
Hello, I'll be starting the Camino soon and there's one bit of it that worries me. The descent from Collado de Lepoeder to Roncesvalles seems quite steep (according to the Wise Pilgrim app) which...
Hi everyone. My name is Nika. I plan to take my backpack, and go on Camino in the end of the next week. I still don’t know how will I get from Kyiv to France. And what city should I come to… I...
We are in SJPP today While we were standing in line today, one of my pilgrims met 3 people from Taiwan, who could not find a bed. He said he also saw several people on their phones, frantically...
Good morning, all: I'll be starting my first-ever Camino (and first trip to Europe, actually) in one month. I'd appreciate any and all advice regarding the price(s)/price range for lunches on the...
