Camino in october/november 2016
Hi

I'm going to do my first camino starting on october 7th 2016 in SJPDP. I was wondering if there were any other people starting around that date, and how busy it is.

My friend and I are leaving SJPDP on the 6th, going via Valcarlos, where we will spend the night. Hopefully we will meet somewhere along the Way, not far from SJPDP. I am an old guy, blue Osprey pack, with a red and green hanging patch cloth with a US flag, American Pilgrims patch, and a Forum patch. Do not expect it to be overly crowded this time of year.

Buen Camino

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
If you spend the first night in SJPP @Auberge du Pelerin or the second one in Roncevalles, you will meet other pilgrims, guaranteed or your money back. Early October the path is not empty and even by mid February under freezing temperatures I walked with a group of 7 people all the way up to Leon. This year, I'll be starting from SJPP on October 16th by the way.

Thanks for your answers. I am really looking forward to walking my first camino, and meeting people along the way. :)

I'm setting off from SJPDP on Wednesday the 05th of October so our paths may cross. Buen Camino.....

I too am starting from SJPDP on Oct 7th. - Just starting slow to Orisson shelter the first day. I'm looking for a site-link to "share a taxi" from Pamplona in the AM of the 7th. Any suggestions?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
