Books and guide for the camino portugues are difficult to come by, and so are apps for Android phone (which is what we have). Sure, we could've have ordered one over the net, but we have been traveling and have no fix address at the moment. So I tackle the task with my tablet and I have surfed the net the best I can and have try to find and print all useful Informations I can come across but yet, not a great way to walk the camino with a bunch of bits of article printed on all sorts of paper - not the best.
We are starting on this 30th in Lisboa - and we are both; my husband and I excited and backpacked prepared to our journey. We are quite sure that we will be able to find a map in Lisbon but has anyone have been in our situation and how did you come by on the camino?
We are planing to walk the whole route to Santiago. It seems that the route from Porto to Santiago is more popular travelled than the first leg from Lisbon.
Any thoughts or tips ?

Peregrina2000 has compiled a guide for the portuguese with contributions from many pilgrims on tht route. Research this forum and you will find downloadable info that is updated.
Bom caminho

The route from Porto is definitely more popular and better marked. It would be quite a challenge, I think, to have no guide on the earlier stages. At minimum, I'd use a map app so I could find some route to the next destination.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

On the cental Portugese route there is no problem at all finding the yellow waymarkers.they are everywhere.
We are walking at this moment on the Portugese central route.
If you walk from Porto you could order a guide written by John Brierley at www.amazon.com
