Yes..I ll take the piemont way but not over the Pyrenees mountains as is already late in the season and snow can be there.
I ll go From Lourdes to Oloron Ste Marie and St Jean PP by GR78

That's a great plan. Magnificent landscapes, nice villages and farm lands. And plenty of sheeps...
Take into consideration that actually the Camino signposts do not always follow the GR78. The GRs always go for the "scenic", which means also the higher, more difficult way (and more prone to be affected by rain or covered by snow in winter). Contrary to what happens in other Caminos, there is not an "official" route; guides sometimes differ in their recommendations.
It wil be lonely, too, but I suppose you already know that. Arriving at the turmoil of SJPP is kind of a shock...
