It was a trip along the Camino Frances, one of the main pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela, that inspired contemporary voyager, the British composer Joby Talbot, to write the an extraordinary a cappella choral work “Path of Miracles,” in 2005. In 4 movements that correspond to major stops along the route, Talbot, well-known as a composer of movie soundtracks and ballet scores, evokes the mystery, the sense of spirituality and community, and even the sun and dust and blisters of the pilgrim route.
