Another one, year after year...
I have just reread my blog of when I walked part of the camino mozárabe and came across the church of Madre de Dios in Castro del Rio, I think. Have problems switching from one page to another on my iPad (or mobile or any device - have problems also geting out of the italics).
Bref, in my long life I have come across many churches, our Lady this and that, but never Madre de Dios. The church is closed. You can find it on the internet. Does anybody know of a church called Mother of God or Muttergottes?

Edit: somebody got me out of the italics! Thank you!

Interesting. Thank you all! What a long list, Kathar1na! And the one which triggered this thread is not even on it! And the two links, Anamaya, specially the one about the church in Porto Alegre!

I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
If you’re walking the Camino Portugues right now I’d recommend you avoid the complementario route into Pontevedra. While it is quiet and green and follows the river, it’s also a muddy mess. I...
