Hola a todos los peregrinos,
My wife, Mary, and I are very much looking forward to being back on Camino again after a break of two years and to be part of the class 2013. We arrive in Biarritz on 17th March and start from SJPDP 18th.
The information on the Pilgrim Forum is fantastic and as I read my daily email I feel as if I’m on the Camino in spirit at least.
I have to admire the effort that pilgrims make who travel from far away countries to go on the Camino. We consider ourselves very fortunate as it is only a two hour flight from Ireland.
We have always found the Spanish people to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
To the debutante pilgrims, I say embrace the spirit of the Camino, actively join the travelling pilgrim family, become a pilgrim. It is not a race, set your own pace, it will become a personal journey. For pilgrims travelling alone, you will only be alone by choice as with any family, the pilgrim family looks after its own .And remember it is addictive, you will be making return visits.
Of course the highlight for us will be meeting again our very good friend Ursula. Ursula represents all that is good about the Camino and what it is to be a good pilgrim.
Hope to meet some of you along the way.
Slán go fóill.
Buen Camino.
Des.
