Good day fellow pilgrims,
I completed my first Camino (and by far, not my last) mid June, and I wanted to thank whomever left a message in rocks, about 600 km past the Cruz De Ferro. For many of us, the Cruz de Ferro is an emotional part of the Camino (I know there were many other ones too!).

I had my mother-in-law's ashes (just a bit), two items from my parents, and a few stones from my home and lake house. I spent a lot of time there and left the items on the eastern side of the hill undr some nice flowers and rocks.

I walked away slowly, remembering what I had wished for those departed, and what I had virtually left of myself. About 600 meters past the Cruz, in rocks was a message that sent shivers down my spine -
LEAVE IT BEHIND.

I don't think that message could have come at a better time. I was at the Cruz e Ferro on May 29th. I would really like to thank whomever took the time to spell out that message. In case anyone knows who that was, please convey my gratitude!
Regards

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Do you have a picture of it? The message was not there when I passed by two weeks later. I was at tge Cruz de Ferro early, having left from Foncebadon, and I had a similar experience. I found the pilgrims really respectful of others. I heard some people who were there among the tourists and it did not have the same impact on them.

I do have a picture, but not sure how to post it on the forum - -
It was truly one of those "wow" moments... of which I had MANY~~ ...
