Hello Coloradowalker, thank you for the message. That’s great! Though the opportunity may come for me to start 2 days earlier on the 1st. Are you committed to the 3rd?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I fly into Madrid from Colorado on the 31st and was hoping for a few days to acclimate. I have reservations for Borda and Roncevellas though it seems likely there will be room early April. Let’s keep in touch as time draws nearer.

Planning to arrive SJPDP Saturday 2nd April and start walking Francés Sunday 3rd April. Anyone else this day yet? Jane
Yes. At LEAST two dozen people will start that day, and you will meet them all. Worrying about being alone is another one of those fears that just make your pack heavier. Anyone departing in April will find a rich cohort of fellow pilgrims to socialize with. Over the first week, you sort yourselves out in groups that are all moving at about the same speed. Trying to figure out what pace you will keep is a mug's game: you should walk your own pace, and let the social circle happen at that pace. Being alone is nearly impossible, unless you want to be.

Hi mcm, exciting!
I’m actually hoping to start walking on 1st now but hopefully we’ll all meet up.
Have you put your start on the calendar yet?

Hello again Coloradowalker
Well, I managed it but I’m no expert and I’m afraid I now can’t remember!
Perhaps someone more experienced could give advice?
Many thanks!
Jane
