Don Elías mural - paintbrush in hand!

I passed by this huge mural of Don Elías Valiña in Sarria this lunchtime. Paintbrush dripping yellow paint in hand! Pretty sure I'd have noticed if he was there the last time I passed by. He was looking a bit more cheerful than when I stopped by to pay my respects in O Cebreiro a couple of days ago!

A great tribute to Don Elias....but somehow these things are all adding to the loss of the simple basic Camino that we once knew.

I miss the old way.

At least that mural is in the city of Lugo and not O Cebreiro. ...I, too, miss the simpler old days along the camino.

It is in Sarria. On the side of a building close to the bottom of the long stone staircase.
