Hi all, just wondering how important ear plugs are.
Is there a risk of no sleep if I dont take them.
Or will I be too exhausted to care :D

Hi
From serving in the army I learned along time ago that when you share a room with strangers its always best to have some ear plugs at the ready. If you dont need them and get lucky its a bonus.

Bring ear plugs! While I eventually became accustomed to a background of rhythmic snoring there was always the possibility of the wall shaking, near death, snorer, ( of either sex)

I used disposable earplugs- weigh practically nothing

Good Luck with your knee!
I was having difficulty with one knee and I solved the problem just by chance by getting a better pair of hiking boots. Then my boots gave me blisters so I walked 3/4 of the Camino in a pair of cheap running shoes that were half a size too big. The lesson here is, "If something is not working, don't persevere. Make small changes and adjustments until you get things right."

I would talk to a physiotherapist specializing in sports injuries. They will be able to give you advice on exercises, and how much walking to do in preparation.
