April 2022 Camino Portugal
We fly into Lisbon on Good Friday (codfish dinner, yum) and have a four day lay-over to recover from travel before starting our Caminho in Porto on 23 April. Feeling very blessed to be able to spend Easter in such an amazing place as Lisbon. Wanted to know if anyone has insight into any special celebrations, services, parades, etc. or other good advice to enjoy the culture over Easter weekend? Thanks!

Two recommendations:
The first, is to eat cod in Porto or any other city to the north. In Lisbon to eat cod you have to be in restaurants outside the center, because you will definitely eat poor quality cod (cod for tourists).
The second, is to visit Braga where the Easter celebrations are more intense. In Lisbon, I recommend the Procession of the Burial of the Lord in the church of Santa Catarina, located on Calçada do Combro (Friday night).
