To all you experienced Easyjet travelers. Is it a requirement, like Ryan-air, that you print out your Boarding pass prior to checking in or you get charged at check-in?

Thanks,
Joe

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
My understanding is that you will be charged extra for this.
There is a way round it if you have a phone, you can download the Easy Jet app, this will allow you to use your phone instead of a paper boarding pass. First time I used this facility I took a paper copy as well, just in case. I was impressed when I just passed my phone over the scanners, it made me feel like a real techy, bearing in mind I'm nearly as old as grass.
I know it works with the iPhone so I'm sure it will work with the other kind.

Hope this helps.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hello,

Also for Android systems (passed with RyanAir in Porto, EasyJet in Rome).

Waka, Jan D, NavyBlue:

Thanks for your responses. I have downloaded the Easyjet app on my android phone and will try to print out boarding pass before leaving the states.

I will go with the belt and suspenders model.

Ultreya,
Joe

Hi,
Can i just ask.....re Easyjet. I have downloaded the app , so do all i need is wifi on my way to Santiago to download my boarding pass to my phone. Can only do it within one month from date of departure their website mentions. I think i have discovered im becoming like my grandparents going back a few years........ technology, use it or lose it. What the...wifi isnt internet provider dependant..?
Thanks for any reply.

Not quite clear what you asking. If your phone has wifi capability then it should be able to connect to any wifi network: it is not tied to any one internet or mobile phone provider. Quite separate from the GSM/3G/4G mobile phone service which often is locked to one provider and their local affiliates in other countries. There are many places along the Caminos offering free wifi and you should have no trouble downloading your Easyjet boarding pass through those. I have done so myself several times.

You need young Children or Grand Children to help you, they are a font of knowledge when it comes to todays technology.
One month before departure just put in your flight code, this will allow you to checkin, automatically (if you've set up the app) you'll get your electronic boarding pass. If you have an iPhone then this will go into your wallet, not sure about other phones.
Now if I've got this wrong I'm sure someone will correct me, that's what they did when I was at school:)

Hi Bradypus... until recently i believed a sim card was necessary for all things internet/wifi. I had been reading posts about sim cards in Spain. Now with your confirmation i believe i can get by with just wifi .... for boarding passes and say whatsapp. Thanks

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Yes, you will be charged through the nose for airport check-in!

despite having 12 grandchildren I am quite capable of working any of the new technology EasyJet app doesn't work on windows phone. But you can print boarding pass many weeks in advance...unlike Ryanair. Also Ryanair site doesn't work that well on some of the windows phones.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
