I won’t be able to obtain a credential at the Irun pilgrims office the day before I start my camino on March 1st (office only open wed evenings 7-9:30pm but I’m staying in Hondarribias). Is there a credential showing El Norte on the cover ? What are my options at this point?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Your local « Friends of » will do, as well as which ever one you pick up in San Seb.

You could order a credencial from Ivar, or from CSJ (UK) if you want a credencial before you leave home. Allow time for posting it to you. You might need to ask Ivar on the forum update thread to find where his shop link has gone!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

My experience is that there is a Norte specific credential which I got at the pilgrim Albergue in Irún when I spent the night there in June 2017 at the start of my Camino del Norte. It was readily available when I arrived about 6pm.

I thought I had this all figured out, but I have ended up with 2 train tickets from San Sebastian (I don't even know if it's the airport or the town) to Irun, instead of ONE that goes all the way...
Hi! I’m a Camino newbie planning on walking Camino del Norte this May-June. I have previous hiking experience and do well on longer distances and so on, but not any super recent multi day long...
I’m on day 2 of the CDN and I’m just blown away by the views. Day 1 Irun to San Sebastián, day 2 San Sebastián to Askizu Buen Camino
