Time of past OR future Camino
Levante (2014-2016); Levante to Toledo (2017-2018), to be continued; Fisterra & Muxia (2018);
Varios countries in Mediterranean area have now fires, Moroco, France, Croacia, Greece, and Spain.
In Spain there are fires in Avila, Caceres, Malaga, Segovia, Salamanca and Zamora.

The one in Cebreros, Avila province is next to the Camino de Levante and is very active in this moment. Pilgrims on that way must be very carefull and get information before going on.
The one in Sierra de las Culebras, Zamora is not far from Caminos de La Plata, Sureste, and Levante.

I have no details about the proximity of the fires in Malaga, Caceres, Salamanca and Segovia and the caminos who go in those provinces.

On the other hand, as a consecuency of the weather there are restrictions of water avaibility in Lalin, Caminos de Levante, Sureste & Plata.

Be carefull

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Last info about Levante: the way is Broken by fire at Puerto de Arrebatacapas.
Also, most albergues between Cebreros and Tabara are used for rest of fire-fighters.

Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
If you’re walking the Camino Portugues right now I’d recommend you avoid the complementario route into Pontevedra. While it is quiet and green and follows the river, it’s also a muddy mess. I...
