Planning Camino Portugues in Late Sep 2017
I want to do my first Camino next week, was thinking starting at Porto or Fatima. Any suggestions or advice. Im a fast walker, travelling alone. I have up to 2 weeks duration but would prefer 10 days. Any help gratefully received. Thanks!

The Camino by whatever route is not about speed. If anything speed may be the antithesis of Camino. The Camino is an experience made up of a variety of bits and pieces, which takes time to absorb and understand. How fast you can walk is not in the equation.

Starting in Fatima you have close to 500 Km, if you want to do that in 10 days it is 50Km a day. I would not recommend that even if you are a fast walker. If you start in Porto you have around 240 km, 24 km a day is doable. Think about it.
