Found this link which looks useful for those travelling through France on one of the routes there - Francigena, Tours etc

Accomodation always seems to be an issue so this is a quick and easy look up - as long as it lasts.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

My understanding is that Archie's Website is no longer being maintained. Data is falling out of use.
The Archies App(s), I believe, are being maintained by volunteers - and therefore may be incomplete or incorrect.
Other organisations who used Archie's data are considering moving away from it as the reliability of information becomes an issue.
Anecdotally, I have read of campsites in France &Spain not reopening post Covid and still on the map.

The Osmand app (with information also supplied/validated by volunteers) is improving all the time and would be my go to for searching out campsites.
Depending on location, iOverlander can be a useful tool too.

As you say, good info - as long as it lasts.

I was more impressed by the technology than the data. Data you can always crowdsource if there is the will to do it. There is also a lot of raw data lying around which you can play with. For example, here is a representation of all the hostels shown on OSM in Galicia. You can see how important pilgrims are to tourism in the area.Hostels in Galicia.jpg

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
